Arsenal boss Unai Emery says his side MUST beat Huddersfield Town this weekend after a dismal away run.
The Gunners have not won on their travels in six games but Huddersfield Town are bottom of the league and look easy prey. You have to go back to November for the last time Arsenal won on their travels - at Bournemouth.
When asked if Arsenal had to beat Huddersfield, Emery replied bluntly: “Yes. But it will be difficult. They are fighting to stay in the Premier League.
"Their last results are not good but with the new coach, they are going to play with big ambition and good organisation. For us away, each match is a new challenge but it is a big possibility to take the three points and do better than we have been doing away.”
Emery said he appreciated the size of the challenge he faced at Arsenal and admitted he was under pressure to get a result in West Yorkshire. He said: “My first criticism is myself. I know work in the present and the future can change our way.
"How we are doing away and away, we are with the possibility to reach the top four but we know it is not easy. A month ago we were in the same situation. I think we are strong at home. We need to do better away. We started very well away.
"Changing also our mentality to get more points away but now we need to recover this confidence, recover this performance and the next opportunity is away on Saturday at Huddersfield.
"We know defensively we need to do better – it is for all – we try to find the best combinations defensively.”
