Tune in to our continued coverage of the Betfred Wheelchair Super League
13:45, 15 Apr 2023

The Sportsman is proud to show the Betfred Wheelchair Super League fixture between the Warrington Wolves and Hull FC.

Kick off gets underway at 2pm (BST), live, free and exclusive from Birmingham University, with the next game, Halifax vs Wigan, getting underway at 4pm.

The two sides are playing just their second game of the season, with both teams reeling on the back of losses. Warrington lost out to Leeds 12-118 at Birchwood Community High School, whereas Hull FC lost to London Roosters 64-42 in their trip to the Medway Park Sports Centre.

Hull head coach Mike Swainger has been a key figure in the development of wheelchair rugby league after he founded the team back in 2012. He’s a player in the team alongside his son Billy, and proudly flies the flag for the sport in Hull, with the other side of the city currently making their way through the Betfred Championship.

Warrington are led by captain Toby Burton-Carter, who was part of Ireland’s World Cup effort back in the winter and are proud to be part of the 10-round campaign after joining the Super League last season. Their first win came against Hull FC last year in a 66-28 win, and are hoping they can bounce back from their defeat to Leeds in a similar way this season.

When the game is over and you wish to continue watching, feel free to head to our YouTube channel, The Sportsman Rugby League, where the next game will get underway shortly after, or refresh our website and the new game will be live in the newest article on-site.
