We've delved into Betfred's markets to see if Arsenal, Manchester United or Manchester City can win the Premier League and WSL double

The title race in both the Premier League and the Women’s Super League is about to reach boiling point, with similar names in each vying for the top prize.

In the Premier League, Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City are currently battling it out for top spot, with Newcastle United also somewhat in the mix, while in the WSL it is the Gunners, United, Chelsea and City pushing each other all the way.

With Chelsea out of the title race in the mens’ game and Newcastle competing in the WPL Division One in the womens’, that only realistically leaves Arsenal, City and United in with a chance of scooping a league title double this season. So what odds can you get on a potentially historic outcome? Here’s what Betfred are offering.

Arsenal and Arsenal Women - 9/2

The Premier League title is Mikel Arteta’s side’s to lose after they extended their lead at the summit to eight points with a win in the north London derby on Sunday, capitalising on second-placed Man City’s derby day defeat to Man United.

The Gunners do have some tough fixtures still to come, including a home tie with third-placed and in-form United this weekend as well as two league clashes against Pep Guardiola’s City. The results in these games will be monumental at the end of the season, but as it stands it’s Arsenal who sit comfortably in pole position.

Arsenal’s women are currently third in the WSL, three points off league leaders Chelsea and level with second-placed Man United, albeit with a goal difference of four fewer. Both Arsenal and United have games in hand over Emma Hayes’ Blues though. With Jonas Eidevall’s side still set to face both sides above them before the end of the campaign, this three-horse race will be going down to the wire.

Man City and Man City Women - 40/1

Manchester City haven’t been at their best in the Premier League since the end of the World Cup, with wins against Leeds United and Chelsea dampened by a draw with relegation-threatened Everton and defeat to bitter rivals Manchester United.

This is Pep Guardiola’s City however, and with the depth in quality throughout their ranks, in particular the goal-scoring prowess of Erling Haaland, they can never be ruled out. Once they hit a rich vein of form, they seldom look back. With two games against league leaders Arsenal to go, they’ll be confident they can catch up.

Man City’s WSL title hopes on the other hand, while certainly not over, will need a serious turnaround if they hope to catch up with the rest of the pack. Gareth Taylor’s side are currently fourth, three points behind Arsenal and United, six behind the Blues but having played a game less, and their goal difference is far inferior to the sides above them. With two games against Arsenal and a game apiece against Chelsea and United, positive results in these are an absolute must if they want to pick up a second WSL trophy.

Man Utd and Man Utd Women - 150/1

Now this is tasty as the Red Devils are looking good value on both fronts. Erik ten Hag’s men are the in-form side in the Premier League and their Manchester derby win over City last weekend really set the cat among the pigeons. United are currently fourth but are level on points with third-placed Newcastle with a game in hand, and just a point behind City. They take on the Gunners at the Emirates this weekend and if they leave with three points you can expect these odds to start tumbling.

United’s women are currently going strong in the WSL in second, but with a game in hand on Chelsea and a superior goal difference they can easily swap places providing Marc Skinner’s side can keep up their momentum. Like their title rivals, their fortunes in this season’s title race will likely balance on the results they obtain in their remaining fixtures against said adversaries.
