10:00, 21 Apr 2023

We’ve got another busy weekend of Premier League action ahead of us with plenty left to decide at both ends of the table.

To get ready for what’s bound to be another thrilling few days in the English top-flight, we’ve compiled some stats to help you find the best value in the betting.

Arsenal vs Southampton

When: Friday, 21st April

Where: Emirates Stadium

TV: Sky Sports Main Event/Sky Sports Premier League

Kick-Off: 8pm

Betfred Match Odds: Arsenal 1/6, Southampton 14/1, Draw 13/2

Across 23 contests, Arsenal have never been beaten at home by Southampton in the Premier League, winning 16 - the most one side has hosted another without losing in the competition.

With the Gunners throwing away two goal leads in their last two matches and seeing both teams score in seven of their last eight in all comps, it’d be tempting to back the Saints to at least get on the scoresheet, however the league’s basement club have scored only once in their last five away games.

Arsenal over 2.5 goals - 5/6

Fulham vs Leeds United

When: Saturday, 22nd April

Where: Craven Cottage

TV: BT Sport 1

Kick-Off: 12:30pm

Betfred Match Odds: Fulham 13/10, Leeds 2/1, Draw 12/5

Fulham are looking to do the league double over struggling Leeds for the first time since the 1959/60 campaign - Leeds were ultimately relegated from the top-flight that season. In fact, Fulham have already beaten their weekend opponents twice this season including the FA Cup.

Fulham win - 13/10

Crystal Palace vs Everton

When: Saturday, 22nd April

Where: Selhurst Park

Kick-Off: 3pm

Betfred Match Odds: Palace 11/10, Everton 11/4, Draw 11/5

Crystal Palace are on the ascendency with Roy Hodgson back in the dugout. Under the veteran manager’s guidance, the Eagles have won three in a row, as many as they had in their previous 18.

Although Palace have won just one of their last 16 Premier League games against Everton, they have won their last two against them at home in all competitions while the Toffees are currently winless in their last 11 away in the league.

The last four encounters between these sides have gone over at least 2.5 match goals, with three going over 3.5.

Over 2.5 match goals - 5/4

Liverpool vs Nottingham Forest

When: Saturday, 22nd April

Where: Anfield

Kick-Off: 3pm

Betfred Match Odds: Liverpool 1/6, Forest 14/1, Draw 13/2

Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 23 home matches against Nottingham Forest in the league, a run that stretches all the way back to February 1969, and they look good value to keep that record going this weekend. The Reds have lost just one of their last 37 Premier League games at home, while Forest are winless in ten league matches home or away.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have scored 13 goals in their last four PL home ties, conceding just two. Mohammed Salah also has four goals in his last four across all competitions, including a brace in Monday’s 6-1 win over Leeds United.

Mo Salah to score first - 11/4

Brentford vs Aston Villa

When: Saturday, 22nd April

Where: Brentford Community Stadium

Kick-Off: 3pm

Betfred Match Odds: Brentford 7/5, Villa 9/5, Draw 12/5

Aston Villa have been sensational lately, winning seven of their last eight Premier League games (D1), keeping six clean sheets and conceding just twice to move into the top six. Ollie Watkins has been particularly impressive, scoring 11 goals in his last 12 games.

Brentford, who lost 4-0 in the reverse fixture earlier this season, have lost their last three PL games in a row, as many defeats as in their previous 21 matches.

Ollie Watkins to score anytime - 13/8

Leicester City vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

When: Saturday, 22nd April

Where: King Power Stadium

Kick-Off: 3pm

Betfred Match Odds: Leicester 7/5, Wolves 2/1, Draw 11/5

Wolves don’t have the best record when it comes to visiting Leicester, winning just one of their last 25 away league games against the Foxes and failing to score in each of their last four at the King Power.

However, they face a Leicester side who are hopelessly out of form. The club have lost eight of their last nine in the Premier League and 12 of their last 16. Leicester are also the only team in the Premier League since the resumption of the World Cup to not keep a clean sheet.

Wolves win - 2/1

Newcastle United vs Tottenham Hotspur

When: Sunday, 23rd April

Where: St James’ Park

TV: Sky Sports Main Event/Sky Sports Premier League

Kick-Off: 2pm

Betfred Match Odds: Newcastle 5/6, Spurs 3/1, Draw 11/4

Newcastle’s five-game winning streak was shattered by Aston Villa last time out but they will feel confident against a Tottenham Hotspur side who are winless in their last four Premier League away games.

Both teams have scored in four of Newcastle’s last six and in each of Spurs’ last five. The same can be said about the last six contests between these two teams, with five of those going over at least 2.5 match goals. Spurs have also scored in each of their last 16 away games against Newcastle.

Newcastle United win and both teams to score - 13/5

AFC Bournemouth vs West Ham United

When: Sunday, 23rd April

Where: Vitality Stadium

Kick-Off: 2pm

Betfred Match Odds: Bournemouth 9/5, West Ham 8/5, Draw 11/5

Bournemouth are unbeaten in their last four against West Ham at the Vitality Stadium, but West Ham have beaten the Cherries in their last two meetings and are looking to complete their first ever league double over them.

The Hammers are also looking to record back-to-back away wins for the first time since January 2022, having snapped an 11-game winless run on the road with a 1-0 win against Fulham earlier in the month. Three of the last four encounters between these sides have seen over 3.5 match goals.

Over 2.5 match goals - EVS
