Zlatan Ibrahimovic Scores Stunning Roundhouse Kick Goal in MLS

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has often spoken about his love of martial arts and he just brought some of his skill-set from that world onto the pitch in fairly remarkable fashion late last night.

Playing for his side LA Galaxy of MLS against Toronto FC at their BMO Field, the 36-year-old found his side trailing 3-0 just after the half. He managed to spark a comeback by scoring, quite literally with a roundhouse kicked goal that went in off the post.

The absolutely startling piece of technique finished off a chipped ball over the top of the Canadian’s defence by Jonathan Santos and obviously inspired those around him to up their own games as the Californian side fought there way back to 3-3 not long after.

They did succumb to a 5-3 defeat in the end which soured the story a little, but this goal will live longer in the memory than that result.

It was the 500th of a storied career for the Swede, and he was in typically bullish form after the match.

"Obviously it's not good to lose... but I'm happy for Toronto because they'll be remembered as my 500th victim,” he told TSN in the game’s aftermath.

It’s fair to say that the North American public are losing their heads over this goal and it fits nicely onto the highlight real of his time in the States, alongside the spectacular long-distance volley that he scored on his debut in Galaxy colours.

Never a dull moment when he’s on the field.
