Zlatan Ibrahimovic's Astonishing Overhead Kick Against England
14:06, 14 Nov 2018

The 14th of November is a day that should, if right was right, would always be remembered for being the day that Zlatan Ibrahimovic put in one of the displays that justifies all the tripe that he talks about himself.

It was the England national team that would feel the force of it, back in 2012, with the Swede scoring four times in a 4-2 win, the last of them being the peach to end all peaches.

The then Three Lions ‘keeper Joe Hart rambled out of his goal to head clear a long ball forward, then had to scramble back towards his net as Ibrahimovic set his eyes on the ball, turned, and thwacked an overhead kick looping into the net in jaw-dropping fashion.

The Crowd in the Friends Arena, Stockholm, will surely not forget that moment and now neither will you thanks to this nifty little refresher.

Ibrahimovic, now 37, plays for LA Galaxy of MLS and has been making waves over there, too.

On his first appearance for the Californian club he sent a stunning volley from full-on forty yards out crashing into the net. He’s just been awarded the MLS goal of the year for that strike, one of 22 he bagged in his maiden season stateside, and also earned a place in the team of the year.

He’s always been Hollywood, Zlatan, and seems to have found a fitting home.

Have a look at his outlandish overhead from six years ago below to refresh the memory.
