The Sportsman has enjoyed another fantastic week of sport with everything from the Rugby World Cup to the Champions League keeping us on our toes. As the old saying goes: “A week is a long time in sport and things certainly do change quickly for those involved in the sporting world.”
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has had another interesting week at Manchester United as they drew with both Arsenal and AZ Alkmaar whereas Liverpool just can’t stop winning, adding two more successes to their belt.
The World Athletics Championships has taken centre stage with British interest peaking as both Dina Asher-Smith and Katarina Johnson Thompson won gold. It has not been the best competition for the Brits with only three medals so far but these two are at the very top of their game and could inspire a new generation.
