It may have been almost two months since Tyson Fury went to America and boxed the head off WBC Heavyweight Champion of the world, Deontay Wilder. He was of course robbed by the judges who somehow scored the fight as a draw, even though most of the watching audience could see there was only one winner.
A 12th round knockdown for Wilder looked to have ended the fight but famously Fury climbed up from the canvas and battled on, much to the amazement of the crowd. In his corner, emotions were clearly running high as he got up from the knockdown and this is where the camera picks up the action.
In his corner were trainer Ben Davison, along with boxing legends Freddie Roach and Ricky Hatton. You can see the emotions running through all three of them with the men all concerned for the safety of Tyson, someone who they had worked so closely with in the build-up to the fight.
One moment in the final round drew extreme anger from the corner as Tyson, after losing consciousness moments before, decided to showboat by putting his hands behind his back. He then responded with two incredible counter-punches that shook Wilder but his corner looked stressed throughout.
At one point, Davison calls Fury ‘A dumb f*ck’ as he launches another attack on Wilder when he could have been holding on for the win and running the clock down. Hatton wants him to hold on but the big man clearly didn’t listen as the two boxers produced a spectacular round of boxing.
