It’s almost here. The most anticipated heavyweight bout of the year between Deontay ‘The Bronze Bomber’ Wilder and Tyson ‘The Gyspy King’ Fury is due to take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, with England fans able to watch the fight at around 5am (GMT) on Sunday morning.
Manchester’s own Tyson Fury paraded through Los Angeles in typical Fury fashion the day before the fight new footage reveals, stood aloft through the sunroof of a large vehicle and wearing a dazzlingly eccentric gold chain around this neck as he arrived for the weigh-in.
Fury waved and cheered to the mass of fans who had gathered to watch the contender, with Fury responding by punching the air and encouraging the crowd to continue.
You can’t say the man is short on confidence!
‘There’s only one Tyson Fury’ was then chanted out from the adoring crowd, with Fury obviously revelling in the attention as the vehicle glided past.
Traffic was obviously brought to a halt in downtown LA but that didn’t seem to bother Fury in an extremely sunny day in the City of Angels.
Fury had been out of the boxing world for two and a half years before mounting a remarkable comeback this year, seemingly conquering the problems that blighted a previously exciting career trajectory after shocking the watching world with a points-victory over then heavyweight champion of the world Wladimir Klitschko.
