England fans and pundits alike are still trying to get their heads around Monday night’s incredible 3-2 victory over Spain in Seville.
Gareth Southgate's troops exploded out of the blocks, hammering in three first-half goals in what has widely been described as one of the most devastating 45 minute periods in recent Three Lions memory.
A double from Raheem Sterling, who previously went 27 international games without a goal, and a strike from Marcus Rashford saw England romp into a 3-0 lead at the break.
Everyone was in disbelief at the stunning scenes displayed in front of them, including the former Wigan, Fulham and Hull midfielder Jimmy Bullard.
A video of the 39-year-old, who on Saturday DID THIS on Soccer AM, was posted to twitter by @ForzaYids, where the ex-pro is shown passionately commentating on England’s opening goal in Spain, and it's just brilliant.
Bullard runs through England’s patient build-up, stating “this is what I’ve been praying for,” as he lauds it the passing as “keep ball at its best,” before going on to describe the few moments leading up to Sterling's opener:
“Watch this for a through ball, get on this for a finish, one of the best goals you’ll ever score, GET IN THERE THAT’S WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT, love it Southgate you’re the man, go on the boooooooooys!”
Writing it out really doesn’t do it justice, so scroll down and check the actual video out for yourselves.
Spain mounted a second-half comeback but the visitors held on to claim a 3-2 victory and keep their hopes of topping the UEFA Nations League group alive and kicking.
