Matchroom Boxing have announced an exciting card for October which will be headlined by undisputed lightweight champion Katie Taylor.
The Irish star will defend her championship crown against the unbeaten Karen Elizabeth Carabajal at the OVO Arena, Wembley, London on Saturday 29th October.
Carabajal (19-0, 2 KOs) will fight outside of her native Argentina for the first time in more than nine years as a pro, while also entering her first career title fight.

The undefeated 32-year-old challenger from Buenos Aires primarily campaigns as a junior lightweight but has previously fought at the 135-pound limit. Carabajal enters the fight off the back of a points win in April against Lorena Edith Agoutborde.
This clash followed her lone two career knockout victories which came in back-to-back fights in 2021 against Flavia Gimena Quintero and Cintia Gisela Castillo.
Taylor (21-0, 6 KOs) will attempt the seventh defence of her undisputed championship and fourteenth overall defence of at least one lightweight title dating back to 2017.
In addition to lightweight unification, the Bray-born fighter has also enjoyed a one-fight stay at junior welterweight where she claimed the WBO title. She enters this title defence on the heels of her split decision win over record-setting, seven-division champion Amanda Serrano in their April blockbuster fight in front of a sold-out crowd at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The Fight of the Year-level battle subsequently generated calls for an immediate rematch. Efforts were made to schedule another clash, though the two will go their separate ways for now.
This latest announcement means a return to the UK for Taylor and to the very venue where she made her November 2016 pro debut following her second Olympic tour.
Matchroom also announced that 2018 Commonwealth featherweight champion Jordan Gill will face up against Kiko Martinez as part of the undercard, putting his European title on the line. Fellow Irish fighter Caoimhin Agyarko is scheduled to fight on the night against unbeaten Peter Dobson of New York, with his WBA International at stake.
Irish Lightweight contender Gary Cully fights under the Matchroom promotional banner for the first time, with his opponent to be announced soon.
