Rio Ferdinand has taken to Instagram to aim a dig at Liverpool and their manager Jurgen Klopp, just days after he gave a Reds fan the finger in a comedy selfie.
An out-of-sorts Liverpool slumped to a shock 2-0 defeat away to Red Star Belgrade, a result which left the club's hopes of progressing through to the Champions League hanging precariously in the balance.
The loss, Liverpool’s third in a row on the road in the competition, saw Liverpool drop down to 2nd spot in Group C, behind new leaders Napoli, while they’re now only a point ahead of PSG, with Serbian outfit Red Star a further point behind in what is proving to be an incredibly competitive group.
With their final games against PSG and Napoli, Liverpool have to be on tip-top form in order to finish in one of the progression spots.
In the aftermath of Liverpool’s defeat, BT Sport pundit and former Man Utd defender Ferdinand, took to Instagram to mock Klopp’s win percentage.
The attached table within Ferdinand’s story, listed six managers and their win percentage in England’s top-flight since August 2014 (minimum of 75 games).
It’s perhaps no surprise to see that Pep Guardiola’s name was top-of-the-pile with a win rate of 73.6% from 87 Premier League matches.
The Man City manager is followed by former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte (67.1%), Mauricio Pochettino (58.3%), Jose Mourinho (58.3%), and then Wenger on 55.3%, while Klopp is rock bottom of the mini-table with a win rate of 54.7% from 117 Premier League matches in charge of Liverpool - which Ferdinand revelled in, as he highlighted the German’s position, accompanied with the ‘eyes emoji’.
