Rocky Fans Flock To Catch A Glimpse Of The Second Trailer For Creed II

The second trailer of upcoming movie Creed II has been released, much to the joy of boxing and film fans a like. The latest in the Rocky franchise, the seventh instalment in the series once again centres around Apollo Creed's son played by Michael B Jordan.

Jordan reprises the role that saw him go from zero to hero, losing to Tony Bellew at Goodison Park (no, really) but gaining the respect of many (sound familiar?). This time Jordan must face the son of Ivan Drago, Dolph Lundgren's character who killed his father Apollo Creed in the ring during Rocky IV.

Rocky managed to not only beat Drago on his own patch in the fourth instalment, but he also brought an end to the Cold War on Russian soil. No mean feat!

Rocky fans have been engrossed in the films for over 40 years and it's been a bit of a 'rocky' road. The original, written by it's leading star Sylvester Stallone was an instant hit in 1976, earning three oscars and an IMDB rating of 8.1/10. The story of a small-time boxer and his rise to glory in seventies Philadelphia was so relatable to viewers and the franchise was born.

Rocky II would follow three years later, where Stallone reprised his role once again going head to head with arch nemesis Apollo Creed and beating him in the process. As the series continued with Rocky III and IV the production came all the more Hollywood, away from the grit and realism of the original and it's the fourth instalment which relates the most to this new offering out in America on Thanksgiving.

Creed saw a return to form for the franchise and Creed II is eagerly awaited, for one of the most successful sports film franchises in cinematic history!

Although not too much is given away in the trailer, it looks an absolute doozy and it's not to be missed upon it's release later in the year.
