One of boxing's biggest shocks is being retold in a stunning DAZN production

It was one of the biggest upsets in recent boxing history.

Andy Ruiz Jr wasn’t given a hope but pulled off a stunning display to defeat Anthony Joshua and shock the world.

It was like something out of a Rocky film and so Sylvester Stallone has obviously produced a documentary immortalising the fight.

The movie, called ‘One Night’, will premiere on Wednesday November 20 and you can watch the amazing trailer below, courtesy of DAZN.

The preview shows the third round when AJ looked set for a routine victory as he floored Ruiz.

However, the Mexican fought back, landing a perfect left-hook before following up with a right hand to send Joshua down. Boxing fans everywhere couldn’t believe their eyes.

Rocky Balboa was the ultimate underdog as he defeated Apollo Creed, Clubber Lang and Ivan Drago in the Rocky films. He is the perfect man to re-tell the real-life version.

”My Hollywood script came to life that historic June night when unknown boxer Andy Ruiz achieved a victory that shocked the world,” Sylvester Stallone told World Boxing News. “It was the real life Rocky and the perfect story to kick off our partnership with DAZN,”

“There is nothing like the world of Boxing… the drama, the humanity, the agony, and the ecstasy. This sport reveals the souls of these courageous warriors like no other sport can so it’s a privilege to be very involved with DAZN and their revolutionary programming.

“For the first film in this series, we wanted to tell the definitive story of an unlikely underdog boxer achieving what few thought possible,” added Jamie Horowitz, EVP Content for DAZN North America.

“We are honored to be able to partner with Sylvester Stallone, the creator of the greatest underdog boxing story of all-time.”

We can’t wait to see this.

And it couldn’t come out at a better time, just a few weeks before Joshua and Ruiz meet again in Saudi Arabia on December 7 as the Brit aims to reclaim his heavyweight belts.
