Amanda Nunes defends her bantamweight title this weekend when she takes on Irene Alda at UFC 289 in Canada.
Nunes had originally been scheduled to face Julianna Pena in a trilogy fight but Pena was forced to withdraw from the bout in May after breaking her ribs. The Brazilian will now face Alda who has impressed on her last two outings, winning both inside the distance.
Meanwhile, there’s also a tasty lightweight showdown between Charles Oliveira, who is looking to bounce back from defeat at UFC 280, and Beneil Dariush to look forward to.
