Kylian Mbappe has reportedly written a letter to the chiefs at Paris Saint-Germain to say that he will not be extending his contract at Parc des Princes, which is set to expire next year.

The Frenchman is once again going to be involved in a huge transfer saga this summer as PSG are eager to sell the star with 12 months left on his current deal.

Mbappe is one of the biggest names in football. He’s already a World Cup winner and has won several titles with PSG. However, the one he is no closer to winning in Paris is the Champions League trophy. The blockbuster project involving Lionel Messi failed miserably and now that the Argentine has quit the club, Mbappe is looking to do the same.

Last year, the 24-year-old was reportedly close to joining Real Madrid, who are the frontrunners for his signature at evens with Betfred. Los Blancos president Florentino Perez is believed to be wanting to go all out for Mbappe but with the €100 million signing of Jude Bellingham about to go through, it remains to be seen if another significant package can be put together to lure the PSG striker.

Manchester United could be on the brink of gaining Qatari ownership which could significantly help the Red Devils in their quest to catch up with rivals Manchester City, who are the current dominant force in England. Manager Erik ten Hag has expressed his desire to bring more firepower to Old Trafford ahead of 2023-24 as his side were too reliant on top scorer Marcus Rashford last term. They are 8/1 to sign Mbappe.

After winning the coveted treble, which included their first Champions League trophy, Man City could be set to lose some stars this summer including Bernardo Silva and Riyad Mahrez. Pep Guardiola will need to strengthen his team anyway if they are to build on their latest history-making campaign. 16/1 seems like a great price for Mbappe to join the champions of Europe.

Newcastle United, Liverpool and Bayern Munich are the other clubs tipped as potential destinations for Mbappe. They are 25/1, 25/1 and 33/1 respectively to acquire the French forward.
