Tyson Fury certainly has a way with words. As the potential rematch with Deontay Wilder draws ever closer, the mind games have begun with the lineal champions claiming even Wilder’s kids know he lost the first fight.
In one of his now-famous videos posted on his Instagram page 'The Gypsy King' said:
“This is a special message for Deontay Wilder, the big dosser.
“I’ll put everything down on beating you next time. I’m not afraid of you, I ain’t bothered about you, bum.
“I wasn’t bothered about you back then and I certainly ain’t bothered about you now.
“You big dosser, you’re getting it.”
The rematch is scheduled to take place on February 22 in Las Vegas, as stated by both fighters, although nothing has been officially signed or announced as of yet.
The first fight ended in a split decision draw, when it seemed like the American had been out-boxed for the majority of the fight.
Fury recovered miraculously from a brutal knockdown in the final round and when defeat seemed to be inevitable, he fought his way back. The British boxer continued:
“You know you lost – you trainer, your manager, your wife, your kids know.
“They all know 'The Gypsy King' beat you – I’m coming for you, p***y.”
"Breazeale is average at best and Luis Ortiz is... 145 years old!" 👀
@Tyson_Fury lays it on @BronzeBomber ahead of the rematch 😂 #WilderFury2
“He’s going around saying he fights all the best heavyweights.
“But Dominic Breazeale isn’t the best heavyweight and nor is Luis Ortiz.
“They’re average at best.”
Since that Wilder fight, Fury has also faced lower-ranked opposition, beating both Tom Schwarz and Otto Wallin in the United States. Meanwhile, Wilder delivered a brutal knockout in his rematch with Luis Ortiz, when he looked to be behind on the scorecards. Fury wasn’t finished there:
“You’ve only fought one good man in your career – that’s me and I beat you.
“'The Gypsy King' that was out of the ring for three years on 50 per cent.
“You’ll get bust next time.”
