If the headline fighters at the upcoming UFC 223 thought that the spotlight would be solely focused on them, then they were wrong, as that man Conor McGregor made sure he snatched all the attention after he caused absolute caranage at the events media day at the Barclays Centre in New York.
A furious McGregor ran riot backstage, picking up anything in sight and hurling it at a bus which contained a number of elite fighters, including the Irishman’s rival Khabib Nurmagomedov.
You simply have to see it to believe it's actually him, and you can from the point of view of one of the fighters inside the bus! (scroll down for the unbelievable first-hand footage).
According to various sources, lightweight fighter Michael Chiesa suffered a cut to the forehead, while shellshocked UFC president Dana White stated:
"There is a warrant out for McGregor's arrest. They're looking for him right now and his plane is grounded. I assume if they don't catch him he will turn himself in. He's going to be sued beyond belief and this is a very bad career move for him."
McGregor was stripped of his lightweight championship earlier in the week ahead of the title fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Max Holloway who lock horns for the now vacant belt at UFC 223 on Saturday.
The shock events on Thursday night means McGregor has now propelled himself right back into the spotlight, but he may well pay severe consequences for his outrageous actions.
