UFC 229 will be remembered for all manner of reasons in Las Vegas with Conor McGregor and Khabib securing most of the headlines both in and out of the cage but that wasn't the only headline grabbing moment at the T-Mobile Arena.
The fighting moment of the night in Las Vegas came on the under-card as Derrick Lewis produced on of the most stunning knock out finishes in the history of the UFC as he beat Alexander Volkov in vicious style.
The popular American came from behind to win the fight in the last 20 seconds in one of the more remarkable ends to a fight that UFC fans will remember.
Lewis followed the KO by immediately taking his shorts off and giving a memorable interview where he announced that he got the win for his country and President against his Russian opponent.
"I forgot that a few hours before the fight, Donald Trump called me and told me to knock this Russian motherfucker out because they're making him look bad on the news."
The fight really was something special with Lewis coming back from an almost certain unanimous points defeat before catching Volkov with a right hand felt around the world, and it was almost enough to steal the limelight from the main event.
The Las Vegas crowd loved every second of one of the more remarkable UFC events in the sports history and although the main event will steal the lion share of attention, lets never forget Derrick Lewis. Ever.
