UFC star Conor McGregor has taken to Instagram to shower boxing icon Mike Tyson in praise, with ‘The Notorious’ complimenting the American’s homegrown ‘KO Kush’ marijuana after the duo met up at the Helix in Ireland.

Former UFC champion McGregor also revealed his huge admiration and respect for Tyson, and how the pair had quashed a previous spat, and in turn had some fun at the event, while he also had some advice for the former heavyweight champion.

“Make sure you stay switched on with those around you at all times. You have good people around you now, I can tell. But stay switched on,” said McGregor (scroll down for the full message.

“Just remember, if someone tries to rip you. Rip their nose off their face.

“You are a fighting icon and deserve endless love and respect!

"And from me, you will always have it!

"Don’t let anyone take anything from you.

“You owe nobody nothing. It is you who is owed.

“Always remember that.

Meanwhile, mmanytt.com reports that McGregor is still pushing for a Khabib rematch following these comments from UFC President Dana White:

“Conor and I talked for an hour last week.

“Typical Conor - ‘I would love an immediate rematch, I want to fight him again but I’ll fight whoever I’ve got to fight to get back to him if that’s not the case’.”

It's not yet known what Khabib's next steps will be, with the Russian seemingly looking for a fight with Floyd Mayweather, either in the boxing ring or octagon, but should he stay in the UFC he is likely to face off against Tony Ferguson.
