''Literally The Greatest Fighter Of All Time'' - Jon Jones Cruises To Victory Against Anthony Smith At UFC 235

Jon Jones retained his light-heavyweight championship at UFC 235 last night with a clear decision win against Anthony Smith in Las Vegas.

The controversial star was well on top of the five round bout to claim the victory in impressive circumstances with all three judges scoring the contest 48-44 all in favour of the 31-year-old.

The win ensured that Jones remains unbeaten in 13 world title fights and took his overall record to 24-1 (1) in the process. The American star managed to pick up the clear win on the scorecards despite being deducted two points in the 4th round after landing an illegal knee to the head of Smith.

Jones has often split opinion during his career with out of the cage troubles dogging his career but there is no doubt that the fans tune in to watch the star and social media was awash with UFC fans after the win...

Jon Jones is the hands down greatest P4P MMA fighter of all time. #UFC235 - (@BestMMAnews)

I’ll say this again, Jon Jones is literally the greatest fighter of all time & I sense the maturity - (NICKMERCS)

Jon Jones ties Anderson Silva for most consecutive fights in UFC history without a loss (16). #UFC235 - (@MikeBohnMMA)

Jon Jones is the greatest, no one can touch him - (@ThomasClark1994)

Jones is clearly not everyone's cup of tea given his dodgy history with banned substances but his quality in the cage is second to none as he once again proved last night. Smith showed plenty of heart but never got close to landing a significant blow on the challenger and for the time being at least it appears as if Jon Jones remains top of the UFC tree.
