CROATIA EQUALISE!
A power header from Tottenham's Ivan Perisic after a lovely cross goes past the Japanese keeper. A goal out of nothing, almost!

GOAL FOR JAPAN!
Daizen Maeda gets on the end of a knock down after an astute Japan corner. Tremendous play!
A huge chance for Croatia as Perisic got a run off the back of Maya Yoshida, but he fails to square it to an open Kramaric. Still 0-0 after the opening 25 minutes.
Croatia get us underway!
Callum Wilson sits out of training today due to a minor strain.
Speaking to James Maddison for @talkSPORT shortly. Bukayo Saka will speak to the media in the press conference. #ENG #FIFAWorldCup
FIFA had initially decided that groups of 3 were going to be used at the 2026 World Cup, but now it seems like they may be backtracking away from the idea after criticism from fans and others figures around the sport.
The options are now, as shown below, following a similar pattern.
1) 16 groups of 3, top 2 go through
2) 12 group of 4, top 2 + 8 3rd go through
3) 6 groups of 4 in two halves of 24, meeting in a final (ie, like two Euros converging)
Coventry City have been evicted from the Coventry Banking Society Arena by new owner Mike Ashley.
