Memorial Tournament 2018 Odds: Can Justin Rose Make It Two PGA Tour Wins On The Spin?

Next up on the PGA Tour is the Memorial Tournament which takes place between Thursday and Sunday over in Ohio at Muirfield Village. Eight of the world’s top-10 players take to the tee in the 43rd edition of the tournament, including the recently crowned new No.1 Justin Thomas, while the world-class field also includes Tiger Woods, who has won the tournament a record five times.

Woods is still searching for his first PGA Tour success since 2013, and given his course history, the 18/1 shot will feel he has a decent shot at challenging for glory at the Jack Nicklaus hosted event. The 14-time major winner will play alongside last year’s winner Jason Dufner who returns priced at 60/1 to conjure up the first successful trophy defence since Woods back in 2000 and 2001.

Rickie Fowler (20/1) came close to glory last year, as he finished second at Muirfield Village for the second time in his career. Apart from those two standings, which are separated by seven years, he’s not fared particularly well, although he’s in decent form at the moment and if he can find his rhythm he’ll be bang in the mix come Sunday.

The likes of Justin Thomas, Dustin Johnson, Jason Day, Rory McIlroy, and Jordan Spieth will all be looking for their first success at Memorial, with Johnson and Thomas installed as the joint 12/1 favourites at the top of the betting (Bet365).

Former champion Justin Rose (14/1) will be a popular pick given both his current form and his record at Memorial. The Englishman came out on top back in 2010, and has since registered three top-8 finishes in five appearances, although he’s not featured since his runners-up spot in 2015. However, Rose now returns to Muirfield Village in high spirits following his success at last week’s Colonial, which was his ninth success on the PGA Tour, and looks like the pick for glory this week.

Matt Kuchar represents a tasty bet at 45/1. The American simply loves Memorial. He’s a former champion (2013) who has finished in the top-15 in nine of his last 10 showings, including back-to-back 4th-placed finishes.

Elsewhere, 33/1 shot Marc Leishman has three consecutive top-15 finishes at Memorial, while 2014 champion Hideki Matsuyama (35/1) has twice featured in the top-5 in four showings, whereas Masters Champion Patrick Reed is available at the same price as he bids to win his first tournament since Augusta.
