Dustin Johnson had an afternoon to forget in round three of the US Open at Shinnecock Hills, as having headed into the day four shots ahead of the field the American shot a disappointing round of 77 to drop back to +3 for the tournament, and is now joined in a four-way tie for the lead heading into today's final round.
Last year's winner Brooks Koepka is looking to record back-to-back US Open crowns and is one of the other players sitting on +3 going into the final 18 holes, while Daniel Berger and Tony Finau are the other two competitors on +3, with a host of other top names now in contention for what is shaping up into a fascinating finish in New York.
Johnson recorded a host of bogeys in his early holes, but managed to hold it together in the closing stages to remain in a share for the lead, and he will be hoping that he can recapture his early tournament form which saw him launch to the top of the leaderboard.
Justin Rose sits one shot back on +4, while his Ryder Cup partner Henrik Stenson is one shot further back on +5 with English stars Ian Poulter (+7) and Tyrell Hatton (+7) just another brace of players that feel they have a chance heading into the fourth and final round on Sunday afternoon.
It was another difficult day for the majority of players, and it was Phil Mickelson who was making all the headlines, as he incurred a two-shot penalty for hitting a moving ball on the green, which you can watch here, but all attentions will veer to the final round at Shinnecock Hills, and you can keep abreast of the all the action on our dedicated US Open leaderboard here.
