The draw for the sixth round of the Ladbrokes Challenge Cup took place live on BBC Radio 2 on Wednesday on the Chris Evans breakfast show.
A coup for the competition which is covered by the BBC, the sport will tap into the Breakfast Show's ten million listeners to help raise the profile of the sport.
The sixth round is where the big guns join the fray. The likes of Leeds Rhinos, St Helens and Wigan Warriors join the competition alongside the likes of Featherstone Rovers, Leigh Centurions and Whitehaven who have already played two rounds joining the competition in round 4.
Challenge Cup Round Six Draw
- Hull KR v Wigan Warriors
- Castleford Tigers v St Helens
- Toronto Wolfpack v Warrington Wolves (to be played at Warrington)
- Leigh Centurions v Salford Red Devils
- Featherstone Rovers v Hull FC
- Catalans Dragons v Whitehaven
- Widnes Vikings v Leeds Rhinos
- Huddersfield Giants v Wakefield Trinity
The bottom four of last season's Super League all played in the fifth round, Catalans Dragons beating York City Knights 34-24 in what was probably the most competitive of the match-ups. Hull KR thrashed Oldham 32-0 on Sunday to book their place in the sixth round draw, whilst it was also easy work for Warrington who beat Bradford 54-6 and Widnes Vikings who absolutely trounced the Coventry Bears 90-0 on Saturday!
St Helens head the betting, with rivals Wigan second favourites. The Wigan Warriors have a record 19 wins in the competition but haven't won since 2013. Hull are reigning champions and have won the last two renewals, can be backed at 6/1, whilst Leeds and Warrington complete the top six in the betting.
Wakefield, Huddersfield and Salford all line up in Tuesday's draw, with Toronto Wolfpack possibly the most interesting of the qualifiers. The Canadians were launched in 2017, winning promotion from League 1 into the Championship which they currently lead by one point.
