Lebanon have provided the shock of the Rugby League World Cup so far by beating France 29-18. This marks Lebanon's first ever victory in any World Cup fixture.
The outsiders are in the same group as hosts Australia and England, who they face next. Judging by this performance it will not be an easy game for England as Lebanon performed exceptionally to secure the points.
Mitchell Moses was the star man for Lebanon, scoring seven points in three minutes to win the game after the scores were level at 18-18.
Moses then parted the blue sea with a wonderful piece of imagination, chipping and chasing for himself to put the game out of reach of the French, before Travis Robinson put the icing on the cake.
This is Lebanon's first appearance at a World Cup since 2000, where they failed to win any of their group games but they are a much improved team this time round.
It was a thrilling encounter with by sides committed to play attacking expansive rugby but Lebanon just showed that extra piece of composure when it came to the final stages of the game.
France had done well to come back into it in the late on when William Barthau converted a Damian Cardace try from an almost impossible angle to put them level. But Lebanon kept their heads and through the magic of Moses, got the win.
This result lifts Lebanon to second in the group with England now rooted to the foot of the table after their opening day loss to Australia.
England take on Lebanon next Saturday at 9am GMT.
