Reality TV stars are often questioned on whether or not they have any discernible talent but it seems Geordie Shore's Aaron Chalmers has got it in abundance.
The 30-year-old’s decision to move into professional mixed martial arts raised a few eyebrows but they’ve been stuck back into place following his display last night.
The Geordie made it three successive wins in the octagon after he knocked out opponent Karl Donaldson at Newcastle’s Metro Radio Arena last night.
Fighting against a professional debutant in Donaldson, Chalmers was positive from the start, stepping to his opponent and throwing punches in bunches.
Given the fact that his opponent was once a boxer, Chalmers' skills with his hands were taking and he was just as impressive when his opponent went to ground, refusing to be drawn into a grappling battle and reigning down shots on him from above.
In the end, it took just 53 seconds for the referee to stop the fight. Chalmers went on to celebrate with a raucous home crowd.
If he intends to take on the fighting game as a full-time occupation over a long term, he’ll have to improve markedly but Chalmers has certainly proved his many doubters wrong in his three fruitful bouts to date.
