AC/DC’s incredible Back in Black and Highway To Hell albums are 40 years old this year and and to celebrate the Australian rock outfit have teamed up with skateboard specialists DC to produce this selection of sneakers. True, the loafers are perhaps not what you want to be wearing when you drop into the next run, but they are a nice nod to Dacca’s rock and roll, rhythm and blues roots. The other two however are pure skate brilliance.
There’s no point Beating Around The Bush with the sneakers, as they left us pretty Thunderstruck, especially the low profile Night Prowlers designed specifically to Walk All Over You. The low key DC on the side, and band name across the tongue’s Stiff Upper Lip, are the mainstay on these Shoot To Thrill options. The louder third option sneakers have AC/DC across the back like a true Heatseeker and Hells Bells, are they High Voltage! Recommended only for the Big Gun at the skatepark.
