It’s been a busy year for Pharrell Williams and straight off the back of the launch of his very own skincare range, and an already fruitful partnership with adidas that has already provided us with some real gems in 2020, the 13-time Grammy Award winner has now dropped a fresh 16-piece “Triple Black” collection alongside the sportswear giant’s Originals range, that includes a whopping 11 sneakers and five pieces of apparel. Wow!

The collection, a mixture of lifestyle and sports performance shoes, pays homage to the longstanding adidas and ‘Skateboard P’ partnership, which began in 2014, while reimagining a new and bold future.

The sneakers included in the collections are (takes deep breath): the adilette BOOST, Climacool Vento, Continental 80, D.O.N. Issue #2, NMD R1, Samba, Stan Smith, Sobakov 2.0, Solar Hu Glide, Superstar, Superstar Primeknit, Tennis Hu, UltraBOOST DNA, UltraBOOST 20 and the ZX 2K Boost. All are entirely monochromatic (hence the “Triple Black”) and feature Pharrell’s signature anatomy print. Some of the models also work in reflective detailing or Hu triangle logos as well.

The collection’s apparel is centered around Beckenbauer tracksuits and pants with all-over printed graphics, plus a hoodie, tee and jogging shorts. Speaking about the collection, Pharrell said, “The vision is to further distill the form of functional objects down to their essence. Removing all distractions allows us to see every detail clearly and make the story uniquely ours.”

The Pharrell x adidas “Triple Black” collection launched globally on the adidas webstore from December 12. Footwear ranges in price from £80-£160.
