It’s been a landmark season for Leeds United fans, having seen the club secure their long awaited return to the Premier League, after a 16-year absence from the English top-flight thanks to some sizzling football under the guidance of Marcelo Bielsa at Elland Road that allowed them to finish the season ten points clear of their nearest rivals.

Now adidas SPEZIAL are celebrating the Whites’ momentous season with a special edition Elland SPZL sneaker that pays tribute to the Yorkshire club. Paying homage to the Northern Soul movement and with a nod to the 70s, the Elland SPZLs takes its colourway from the Elland Road stadium, which sees thousands of die-hard Leeds fans pass through its turnstiles each season. It also features a bright yellow suede upper, which is offset by dark blue on the Three Stripe branding. Finished with a printed foil logo on the tongue, with the words “Made for HIP” also appearing on it - a reference to the famous Leeds-based boutique, The HIP Store.

Working with adidas Spezial, The HIP Store have created a special campaign for the launch of the Elland SPZL entitled “We’re All Leeds, Aren’t We?,” featuring a number of Leeds fans which HIP call “a message of inclusivity and pride” for the ordinary people of the city.

It’s been a season no Leeds fan will be in a rush to forget, and thanks to these lovingly crafted kicks, they can celebrate their historic campaign wherever they go.
The Elland SPZL is due to arrive at select stockists including The HIP Store on August 20.
