Pharrell Williams has been at the forefront of cool for an entire century. From his Frontin’ solo single to fronting N.E.R.D and making everyone happy in 2013, the hip hop legend remains one of the most stylish and fashionable icons in music. This month, Pharrell is set for another release, this time with adidas following the launch of his NMD Hu sneakers. The R&B star has clearly been busy after sharing with his 12.5million Instagram followers a wide array of ‘Extra Eye’ new sneakers with a number of new HU colourways which pay homage to Asia.

One year on from his first creation, there are also two fresh colourways for the Crazy BYW. Pharrell’s latest offerings are decorated with embroidered Chinese characters along the top of the trainers while another pair in dark maroon, feature Korean hangul which translates into ‘Human’ and ‘Race’. The laces featured stick with the HU signature style and are built in a wrap-around system giving these kicks a futuristic, slick look.

One pair was launched last month as part of NTWRK’s Transfer Festival and caught the eye in bold orange with an electric blue adidas Boost midsole underfoot. As well, Pharrell of course has his millions of adoring fans at the forefront of his mind in his designs and, according to thesolesupplier, has happily taken on feedback by removing the Trail rubber outsole which featured in previous kicks.

While these sneakers certainly stand out with their own distinct look, they also scream comfort and give the ‘Feels’ with sock-like primeknit uppers which hug the feet.
Releasing in Asia today (September 19) there's no definite release date elsewhere yet but these trainers are expected to be released before the year is out with a potential window this month being mooted.
