Whether it’s the amateur feeling like a professional player, or the pro feeling like they’re back on the playground, Umbro has an unparalleled heritage of bringing the footballing experience to the masses.

For 2020 it is no different. Umbro has released your football fanatic feet’s new best friends: the brand new Tocco Pro and the Velocita 5, two pairs of superb sports shoes now both alike in dignity, colour and precision. Each offers the user to be bold, brazen, and confident at all levels of the beautiful game.

Whether you’re a multi-million pound pristine player, a Sunday League Zizou, or simply you’re known amongst your mates as the Bargain Bucket Berbatov, one thing’s for sure, you’ve got a mighty touch on you, and Umbro’s sleek new Tocco Pro will know it and will revel with helping you utilise it.

With its Italian-inspired name - meaning ‘Touch’ if you were to venture to the Bel Paese - the Tocco combines the superior control of a classic leather boot with the lightweight profile of a speed boot.  A crisp white outsole is augmented by the silver antler-like Umbro-engraved stud guide that offers maximal grip and endurance in order to cover that pitch back and forth. This striking ‘wishbone’ design guarantees rigidity in the rear and arch, while also allowing flexibility in the forefoot, and is tooled in dual-density Pebax® for maximum energy return.

With shiny cats-eye studs in the details, within the lightweight and flexible Pebax® Sprint+ outsole, the Velocita 5 meanwhile opts for a sleek white section that eventually raises over the heel, meaning that, especially observed from the back, the terrifically strong triptych with the black backstay and the ultramarine topline shared by its Tocco Pro sister is further enhanced.

Indeed, the latest addition to the coveted range, the Velocita 5 is also available in the new colour scheme adopted by the Tocco, taking on the trip-tone black, white, and Victoria Blue. The Velocita still possesses the auxetic memory flex upper, designed to meet the demands of dynamic movement, with swift response to spontaneous sprints duly required on the playing pitch with maximum flexibility and finesse. The boot is designed with a laceless upper for a larger strike zone, whilst its Pro version provides slightly more security for your foot.

Meanwhile, equally as impressive, the Tocco Pro’s upper is made from water resistant Italian Idro-leather with 75% less water absorption, allowing the Tocco to fine-tune your touch in all conditions, enhanced by the D3O® forefoot designed specifically to reduce ball bounce, without forgoing comfort. Across the midfoot memory foam sits behind the leather moulding to your foot for a bespoke fit based on personal patterns of movement and playstyle. The ankle collar has been specially engineered to provide easy access, exceptional comfort and security for the heel.

Both the Tocco Pro and the Velocita 5 aren’t designed to be footwear. They’re designed to be footweapons. One doesn’t simply have to reminisce about Denis Bergkamp’s silk-footed control, deftly cushioning a bullet from the air. Thanks to Umbro, it can be recreated.
