Sneakers. Trainers. Wheels. Whatever you want to call them, nobody is disappointed opening a fresh pair on Christmas morning. That's a certified fact. So, if you still haven't bought a present for the special someone in your life, step this way my friend, as we come with a solution, in the form of sneakers. 2020 has been dreadful in oh so many ways, but the trusty trainer did not let us down, we've seen some fantastic launches this year, and here's five of the best you can still get a hold of if you're quick...go!
Saucony Hero Kinvara 11 - £130

We are absolutely in love with these shoes, and not only do they look incredible and feel brilliant, they also do a huge amount of good and make a serious statement along the way. For every saucony x prinkshop item sold, Saucony will donate 10 per cent of every sale to She Should Run, a nonprofit organisation that supports female leadership in politics. Now that is making the sort of change we want to see.
The white Kinvara, with red and blue female gender symbols around the ankle, celebrate women who run. Any age, any reason, any goal, the lightweight Kinvara 11s are perfect for any runner, or any woman who wants to look good. PWRRUN cushioning is also to thank for the amazing comfort these shoes provide.
Nike x Sacai VaporWaffle - £449

One of the most in-demand shoes of 2020 is now back in stock and available to buy for Christmas. The Nike x Sacai VaporWaffle has merged two Nike classics, the Pegasus from 1983 and perhaps their most famous cousins, the Vaporfly.
With a knitted upper combined with a suede overlay, these shoes are certainly unique and feature double layering on the tongue and the Swoosh branding. Along with a double-stacked midsole and a split design at the heel, these are certainly different. If you have that special someone who loves to stand out from the crowd, these could be the perfect fit.
Air Jordan XI Adapt - £345

Who doesn’t love ‘Back to the Future’? If you want to have a small piece of Marty McFly’s vision for the future you can now buy self-lacing shoes, courtesy of Nike and their Air Jordan range. The XI was worn by MJ himself during the 1995 NBA season but on their 25th anniversary they have been combined with the Adapt, allowing users to tighten or loosen the shoes at a touch of a button (either on the side of the shoe or via an app).
Currently available in black with a touch of pink, these are next level Jordans for the person in your life who is desperate to be at the forefront of new tech. We approve, and even wrote our own piece in tribute to these gems here.
New Balance x Levis - £327

When two brands collide like this people sit up and take notice. Levi’s have been around for 147 years, while New Balance have 114 years of excellence under their belts so there is some serious history behind this pair. Now they have combined for the second time in history to produce these New Balance x Levis 327.
Made with a split construction for that strange yet satisfying asymmetric look, the famous N logo is in full grain leather while the overlays are made using pig suede. The Levi touches are subtle but sweet with the signature Levi’s tab and ‘Levi’s for Feet’ branding on the insole. You’ve got your pick here, indigo and grey wash for men and light wash for women, these shoes will make anybody’s feet look sublime. We love them so much we wrote a whole review on them.
Nike Air Force 1 Manchester Bee - £85

At The Sportsman, we are incredibly proud of our Mancunian roots, working, living and breathing everything to do with the Northern Metropolis. Now Nike have produced the perfect shoe to sum up the city, featuring the worker bee that represents Mancunians and a honeycomb backdrop.
With Manchester’s dialling code 0161 on the white tongue, it matches perfectly with the honeycomb colour scheme while the black Nike Swoosh stands out on the lateral side. The honeycomb effect sits on the heel of the shoe, opposed to the Manchester bee, making this pair the perfect Christmas present for any Manc.
